About the Author: (@MidnightReyn) Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Tash

Tash is a self-diagnosed gaming fanatic with a doctorate in Psychology. She's also a self-confessed Mass Effect fangirl and will likely talk your ears off if you ever get her started on the subject. A lover of all things RPG and adventure, she has more gamer related action figures and memorabilia than any 20 something year old professional has a right to own, and has spent more time than she’d like to admit to daydreaming about exactly what she would do should the Zombie Apocalypse actually happen.

Community report – PAX Australia 2014

paxaustralia111

During my time as Editor-in-Chief of Save Game, I’ve been to a lot of conventions. Some of them have been local events. Others have been popular national events with attendance statistics over 100,000. I’ve even headed to the big one, E3. But of all the cons I’ve been to across the years of running this site, PAX Australia 2014 has been the first con where I’ve honestly been able to stand back whilst there and think “Damn. I’m HOME.”

I’ll be the first to admit that I have absolutely no working knowledge of the Skylanders video games. I came into reviewing Skylanders Trap Team as a complete newbie, with no prior conceptions of what to expect. After playing through Skylanders Trap Team on the Xbox One, I can safely say the game has entranced me, and left me with that kind of excitable glee normally associated with the opening of gifts on Christmas Day.

It’s been a while between releases for the Wasteland series. The first Wasteland released in 1988, and thanks to a very successful kickstarter by InXile Entertainment, Wasteland 2 is now available, with only a 26 year wait between titles. That wait has definitely been worth it, however, with Wasteland 2 showcasing the very best of the post-apocalyptic RPG genre. Whilst this genre has seen many titles release over the past few years, Wasteland 2 epitomises the sense of exploration, of creativity and adventure that has been largely absent in many of the genre’s newest releases. If you’re like me and […]

The Sims 4 – Review

sims4review
8 out of 10 Great

I have a love-hate relationship with The Sims franchise. And the reason I love it is also the reason I hate it – it’s incredibly addictive. With its simple premise of guiding a sim through their life, celebrating their successes and drowning their sorrows, the series has found a very strong fan base that gobbles up new releases as though they are mac and cheese delights cooked by a sim with a culinary skill of 12+. After turning my back on the series, I revisted the Sims to review The Sims 4, and damn if it hasn’t become more addictive […]
