The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings on Xbox 360 is one of my most highly anticipated releases this year. It doesn’t matter that I’ve played the game on PC already – I had so much fun that I am positively giddy over the thought of seeing Geralt in all his wonderful (read: shirtless) glory on my big screen tv. For those of you still on the fence regarding whether The Witcher 2 is a good purchase for your Xbox360 library, the folk at Namco Bandai Games have released this lovely trailer to help you decide. Twisted Metal given March 7 release date for Europe

Rev up those engines and polish those machine gun barrels, European Twisted Metal fans, as the upcoming game in the Twisted Metal series has been given a March 7th release date across Europe. This news comes straight from David Jaffe’s official twitter feed, where the CO Director and Lead Designer of the game announced that Twisted Metal will be released across all SCEE territories on that date.

Gamer dead in internet cafe for 9 hours before being noticed

In news you don’t want to believe is true, a 23 year old gamer lay dead in a New Taipei internet gaming cafe for nine hours before anyone noticed something was wrong. Chen Rong-yu had been playing popular MMO League of Legends for 23 hours when he is believed to have suffered a heart attack. A waitress discovered the gamer sitting rigidly in his chair, his hands extended towards the computer he had been using.

Sony details US PS Vita Launch day special bundle

Good news for US gamers planning on grabbing the PS Vita on launch day – Sony has announced they will be offering a special Launch Day bundle across North America. Sony used their US Playstation Blog to announce that gamers who pre-ordered the First Edition Bundle of the PS Vita will now be provided with an AT&T DataConnect Pass valid for a free 250MB session in addition to a PSN game, both of which will be provided upon 3G activation.

Rumor: Microsoft to abandon Microsoft Points as transaction currency

As an Aussie gamer, Microsoft Points have often been the bane of my existence. Given that the points never really have a set monetary value, I’m often unsure of just how much that 400 MSP DLC is in ‘real world’ currency. According to a new rumor being reported by Inside Mobile Apps, however, this issue might soon be removed with Microsoft apparently discontinuing the Microsoft Points system by the end of this year.
