Crimson Alliance receiving DLC October 12

Crimson Alliance is receiving its first DLC pack on October 12. Entitled “Vengeance Pack” the DLC will set you back 240 Microsoft Points ($3) and will offer players a more challenging 4 level mini-campaign and a new challenge map with “Fistful of Coins” – a completely new mode.

Xmen Destiny Launch Trailer

We haven’t really heard much about Xmen Destiny, but the game is out now for all major platforms, and to celebrate the launch, a new trailer has been released. Focusing on the fact that players need to make a choice regarding who they want to side with in game (and therefore shape their Destiny – see what they did there?), the trailer also shows off gameplay and gives an indication of what players can expect from the title. Skullgirls delayed into 2012

Skullgirls, the 2-D fighter being developed by Reverge Labs has been delayed into 2012, according to the company. Citing the desire to polish the game’s features based on feedback received, Peter Bartholow, Designer/Community Manager/Producer at Reverge Labs stated “Some companies call this ‘feature creep’, but we call it the extra polish that takes a game from ‘good’ to ‘great’.“

Dead Nation Road to Devastation DLC trailer

Dead Nation received a surge of new players when it was offered as part of the free PSN downloads after the security brew-ha-ha that will not be mentioned earlier in the year. And as a result of this burst in popularity, Housemarque has released an all new DLC package for the zombie-apocalypse themed top down shooter. The Road to Devastation pack will be out later today as part of PSN’s updates at a price point of around $4 and will feature new environmental hazards players can use against the walking dead. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus launch trailer

Two Playstation 2 cult classic games have recently been remastered and re-released for the Playstation 3, and to celebrate, Sony has released a trailer featuring both games – Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Given the review scores scattered throughout the trailer, it seems the collection is well worth a purchase. Battlefield 3 – 99 Problems TV Spot

EA recently released a teaser trailer for their upcoming shooter Battlefield 3, and now they’ve dropped the actual trailer upon which it was based. Affectionately named 99 problems because of the Jay Z song of the same named that’s used as backing, the trailer showcases a variety of gameplay shots interspersed with the usual marketing grab bag of quotes from industry leaders. Leaked Uncharted 3 trophy list contains new locations; spoilers

Footage from the Eurogamer Expo has outed the trophy list for Uncharted 3, and the list contains some interesting spoilers for the upcoming release. Present and accounted for are the general treasure hunter and gun kill trophies all Uncharted fans are well used to seeing now. However a few of the trophy descriptions do detail as yet unannounced locations Drake will be visiting. Check out the full list below but beware of spoilers.

Batman: Arkham City 250GB Xbox Bundle releasing in Europe

Microsoft have announced today that they will be releasing a Batman: Arkham City bundle for the Xbox 360. The bundle will consist of a 250GB Xbox360 Slim along with Batman: Arkham City and is currently only destined for European shores. It’s priced at 279.99 Euros, which is around about $384 USD, and will arrive on store shelves at the same time the game releases in Europe – October 21, 2011.

Dead Island film rights secured; movie in the works

If you haven’t been able to get enough Dead Island action since the game was released a few weeks ago, you’re in luck. Today motion picture group Lionsgate announced that they have secured the rights to make a Dead Island movie, and that the movie is already in the early stages of development. Already attached to the project are producers Sean Daniel (Dazed and Confused, The Mummy) and Stefan Sommerfield.
