Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Uncharted 4 A Thiefs End Game Logo Wallpaper

Uncharted is undoubtedly one of Sony’s marquee franchises. I’m not an expert when it comes to the series – I played the original game before my PS3 died, but admit I only have a fleeting knowledge of the games. That might change with the upcoming release of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, but I still knew enough to be all over Naughty Dog’s newest offering.

EB Expo: Hands on with The Division

thedivision1

After an extremely long gestation period, the post-apocalyptic shooter known as The Division was finally available to play. Ubisoft showed a little bit of the game at last year’s EB Expo with a hands-off demo, but for those that have been dying to step back into the world created by Tom Clancy, this was the year. The mode shown off was The Dark Zone, an intense PVP section of the world where players will find the best gear for their characters, and their greatest challenges.

Double Fine announces Headlander

HEADLANDER_LOGO

It’s Atari nostalgia to the MAX with Headlander – read Shaun’s news report on the game below! Double Fine Productions have announced their next game Headlander, which will be published in association with Adult Swim Games. It’s a retro 80-themed Sci-Fi side-scrolling romp, filled to the brim with neon, robots, and lasers. The announce trailer doesn’t give away much in the way of story, but does show off the game’s core mechanic- the ability to detach your head from your current body and attach it to another. Anyone anyone else getting visions of Nixon in Futurama? There are numerous body […]

Elder Scrolls Online tips for newbies

eso1

For the first time ever I have been truly drawn into the world of an MMORPG, and this is due to none other than The Elder Scrolls Online. However as a relative noob in the world of an MMO, I have to admit that I was a little bit lost at the beginning of the game. I found myself having to look for information and tips on multiple sites. And rather than keep it all to myself, I decided why not share my insights of ESO that just may help you on the road to saving Tamriel.

The music blasts out of the speakers as I fly down the street, bullets ricocheting off the car all around me as the police try to take me, or the car, out of play.  My comrades lean out the windows and return fire, buying me time to get away when BOOM, hit by an RPG. Respawn. Find the guy who killed you. Pull the sexy man pose. Battlefield Hardline is always fun.

La-Mulana EX – The Save Game Review

プリント
7 out of 10 Good

There are many that believe that games these days are far too easy to survive, with auto-saves and checkpoints every two minutes to ensure you never have to go back too far.  These days you don’t often get to experience the frustration of reloading a save after dying and realising that the save is from an hour and a half before. In La-Mulana EX for the PS Vita, this is exactly what can, and most likely will, happen. The difficulty in this game is such that I was not able to finish it before I wrote this, which is […]

Over the last decade, Far Cry has carved out its own niche within the first person shooter genre of games. It has become famous for its wide open worlds, flamboyant characters, and over the top violence and mayhem. The latest installment, Far Cry 4, trades steamy tropical jungles for Himalayan mountainsides, but otherwise, promises to build on the success of its predecessors. Does it succeed? Let’s find out.

Preview – Battlefield Hardline Beta

battlefieldhardlineim11

So the Battlefield: Hardline open beta has come and gone and I managed to play more than a couple of rounds to truly get a grasp about just how the game plays and and feels. I have killed cops and criminals, stolen cars and blown them up, and I have protected and robbed a bank too many times to count… and it was all a hell of a lot of fun!
