Metal Gear Solid HD collection Japanese release date announced


Kojima Productions and Konami have revealed at TGS that Metal Gear Solid HD Edition will be releasing in Japan on November 23rd. The PS3 and Xbox360 versions of the game will both be priced at ¥5480 (around $70 US). Interestingly, players will be given the choice regarding how they wish to view cutscenes in the game – in the old 4×3 format or the newer widescreen format.

Gaming and Giving for Good Charity Event on October 1st


If you’re an Xbox 360 owner who loves playing video games (which I’m assuming you do because otherwise you bought yourself a very expensive paperweight) do yourself a favor and check out the Gaming and Giving for Good Charity Event. Australian pricepoint for COD: Elite Premium detailed


Activision Australia have released details of the pricing of their Elite Premium Package for COD:MW3, and it’s not pretty. Those of you wanting access to the package will be paying $64.99 for the privilege. The price point for American players for the exact same service is $49.99, and given how strong the Aussie dollar is currently – I have to wonder why Elite Premium is going to cost us almost $15 more. Poor form, if you ask me.

Revised PES2012 demo out now


Konami have released a revised version of their PES2012 demo, incorporating new changes made based on feedback from players who played through the first demo. The new demo lets players step into the shoes of teams Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan, Rangers, Club America, Bayern Munich and Internacional. Improvements were made to goal keepers and defensive AI, and Konami have also made it more difficult to score a goal.

Max Payne 3 first trailer released


Rockstar have released the first official trailer for Max Payne 3, showcasing a little of what gamers can expect from the title. Sao Paulo is the destination of choice for the New York detective this time around, and the trailer definitely promises action in spades. Black Ops Rezurrection DLC release date for PS3 and PC announced


Treyarch have announced that the Rezurrection DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops will be releasing on PS3 and PC on September 22. To celebrate the release, there will be a Double XP weekend starting September 23rd and going through to September 25th. The DLC will feature the same content as the Xbox 360 version, which has been out for several weeks.

Goldeneye 007: Reloaded Release Date Announced


Goldeneye 007: Reloaded has received a release date, with Activision announcing that the PS3 and Xbox360 versions of the game will be released on November 1st. Playstation owners will be doubly spoiled, with Activision also announcing that there will be a special Move-enabled edition, entitled Double ‘O’ Edition. This bundle will include the game, a Move motion controller, navigation controller, PS Eye and Sharp Shooter peripheral. Not a bad bundle if you’ve yet to pick up Move.
