Relaunched Destiny website is hella pretty

destiny-banner-2After all the confusion and angst caused by Bungie’s long time composer last week, it was about time we got some good news about Destiny.  The game’s official website has been relaunched, and it is quite a sight for web-weary eyes.  Packed with information, gorgeous images and videos, and some slick animated backgrounds, it’s required viewing for anyone remotely interested in the game.

The update went live earlier today over at the official Destiny website, and features updated graphics and information on the game’s setting, story, enemies, and heroes.

The three playable classes; Hunter, Titan and Warlock, each get their own videos, which are a mix of new and previously seen footage.  The videos give you a great idea of how each class performs in combat, but are unfortunately embedded in the website.  Luckily, the awesome folks over at GamesHQMedia captured and combined all three videos into one trailer.  Check it out below.

I’m still loving the Hunter. You get to do powerslides and teleport and drop punks with knives to the face all while rocking a golden gun and a stylin cloak. What about you? Got a favorite class yet? Let us know, either here or on twitter. We’re hankerin for some Destiny talk.

Joe was born in a time of war. A console war. Two electronic titans were locked in a heated battle for the living rooms of America. Which titans, you ask? Well, the Fairchild Channel F and the Atari 2600 of course. You see, Joe is old. So many of his favorite games tend to be on the older side as well. But that hasn’t stopped him from developing unhealthy obsessions with such modern franchises as Halo and Mass Effect. Just don’t tell him how long it’s been since the original Metroid was released. His aging heart can’t take the shock.
