Return to Rapture with the Burial at Sea launch trailer

Burial-at-Sea-1You’re not dreaming.  It’s finally here.  Burial at Sea, the long awaited DLC expansion of Bioshock Infinite, launches today.  To celebrate, Irrational Games has put together a launch trailer that’s classic Bioshock: mysterious, creepy, violent, sexy, and asks far more questions than it answers.  Read on to see it for yourself.

It’s been a long wait for Burial at Sea.  Released back in March, Bioshock Infinite came with an optional season pass, enabling those who purchased it to access the planned DLC expansions of the game at no additional charge.  Nobody knew what the DLC would be, but heck… it’s Bioshock.  It had to be awesome, right?  That was in March.  We didn’t find out what the DLC would be until July, and didn’t even get a release date until recently.  So, yeah… been a long wait.  But if the crazy trailer is any indication, Burial at Sea was worth the wait.  Check it out below.

Damn.  This is going to be fun.  Burial at Sea is available on Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam right now.  On it’s own, it retails for $15.  Alternatively, you can still buy the Bioshock Infinite season pass for $20, which will get you access to Episode 2 of Burial at Sea, whenever it launches.

Joe was born in a time of war. A console war. Two electronic titans were locked in a heated battle for the living rooms of America. Which titans, you ask? Well, the Fairchild Channel F and the Atari 2600 of course. You see, Joe is old. So many of his favorite games tend to be on the older side as well. But that hasn’t stopped him from developing unhealthy obsessions with such modern franchises as Halo and Mass Effect. Just don’t tell him how long it’s been since the original Metroid was released. His aging heart can’t take the shock.
