E3 2012 Trailerpalooza! Volume 2

e3-1

Welcome to day two of Trailerpalooza.  Much like the outdoor music festival from which I stole the name, day two was long, hot, and kinda smelly.  Everyone was still pumped for the show, but fatigue was starting to sink in.  And after a lukewarm set from Nintendo, the crowd almost rushed the stage.  But the important thing is, we still have plenty of trailers for you, including some extended gameplay demos.  So let’s get started!

E3 2012 Trailerpalooza! Volume 1

e3-1

It’s that time of year again.  E3 is here.  It’s like Christmas for videogame fans.  Except we can’t actually play any of the games.  So it’s like Christmas, but you only get to look at the presents on TV.  OK, so it’s not like Christmas at all.  Anyway, E3 is about a lot more than games.  There’s the painful celebrity cameos, the awkward stage demonstrations, and don’t forget the corporate hyperbole.  But who cares about all that nonsense?  I just want to watch the trailers.  And that’s what Trailerpalooza is for.  All of the trailers, none of the crap.  Read […]

Take a look at Persona 4 Golden’s intro movie

p4g logo black

Intro movies for video games don’t get much respect.  We watch them once, maybe twice, when the game is brand new.  Then we skip right over them.  The only other times we seem them is when we get a phone call while booting up a game, and we let them run over and over while we try to get our parents and/or significant others off the phone.  Come on, we’ve all done it.  No need to plead ignorance.  But the recently unveiled intro movie for the upcoming Persona 4 Golden is so bright, fun, and just plain weird that it […]

me3-title-burny

In honor of the Save Game Global Summit, currently entering its second week in New York City, Bioware is releasing a new patch and multiplayer pack for Mass Effect 3.  OK, I don’t know for sure that they’re releasing it this week as a tribute to Save Game, but the timing does seem rather odd, don’t you think?  The patch fixes a long list of single and multiplayer bugs, while the new multiplayer pack includes new maps, characters, and weapons.  Read on for all the details.

The Return of Skyrim Patch News!

skyrimpatch1

Gather around, denizens of the Old Kingdom.  A new era is about to begin.  Bethesda is readying a new patch for Skyrim, version 1.6, and it will change the way you view combat in the Elder Scrolls forever.  OK, maybe not forever.  I might’ve been embellishing a litte.  But it’s still pretty cool.  Read on for the details.

Of course.  Of course, the first bit of Bungie news in a long time would happen while I was away, attending the Save Game Global Summit in New York City.  So I’m a little behind on this story, but in case you haven’t heard, here’s the deal.  Due to the lawsuit between former Infinity Ward chiefs Jason West and and Vincent Zampella and Activision, documents detailing the publishing giant’s long term deal with Bungie have emerged.  Read on for the details on what Bungie is making for Activision, and what it means for the future of the studio.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or are a total console gaming peasant like myself, you’re no doubt aware that Blizzard launched Diablo 3 earlier this week.  Fans have been waiting over a decade for the next installment in the series, and demand for game has been incredibly high.  Perhaps a little too high.  Read on for the details.
