DLC Review – Dark Souls 2: Crown of the Sunken King

8 out of 10 Great

Sometimes, I wonder why I do this. It’s 2am. I’m reeling from yet another death, handed ignomiously to me by another almost impossible to kill Dark Souls 2 denizen. My patience is on a razor edge, I’m so close to throwing the controller down and walking away. And yet I press forward, telling myself I’ll continue for just a little longer, that I’ll try just one more time. Because the challenge of progressing to the next bonfire to save your game, whilst oh so maddening, also leads to the sweetest reward when achieved. This is what Dark Souls 2 does […]

Review – Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Keyboard

A keyboard is a keyboard right? Not when it’s a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Keyboard. With mechanical switches, individual backlit keys, and boasting durability to withstand 60 million keystrokes, the BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard from Razer is the Ferrari of keyboards. After trialing this keyboard over several days, I can happily say that Razer have designed a keyboard that is as practical as it is flashy.

Review – Razer Adaro Stereo Analog Headphones

Gamers are spoiled for choice when it comes to selecting headphones to complement their gaming sessions. With companies vying for a piece of the market share that gamers make up, it’s no surprise that with each new headphones release, the claims from manufacturers become more and more expansive. But how many of these claims are delivered, and how many are flowery words with no substance? I trialled the Adaro Stereo Analog headphones from Razer and after several hours across console gaming and PC media streaming, I am happy to report that Razer delivers on every promise made.

For the love of gaming – re-igniting the spark of passion

Something happened to me between starting up my own games website and now – something changed which made me lose something very special to me. I can’t pinpoint when exactly it happened, but somewhere along the line, I stopped enjoying playing video games. I stopped being excited about gaming. I had, in what took me completely by surprise, lost my passion for gaming.

Dragon Age: Inquisition – E3 2014 Impressions

I’ll be honest – one of the games I was most looking forward to seeing at E3 this year was Dragon Age: Inquisition. However, this excitement was mixed with trepidation – whilst Dragon Age: Origins remains one of my favourite video games, Dragon Age 2 never reached the same compelling heights of its predecessor. After viewing the 35 minute E3 presentation of Dragon Age: Inquisition I can excitedly say that this game is bringing the magic of the Dragon Age world back with a vengeance.

Tash’s E3 Interview: The Order 1886

Hello folks, it’s me, once again braving the insanity of E3 to bring you the stories you want to read.  This time, it’s a lovely chat I had with Nathalia Chuben, Senior Brand Manager at SCEE for The Order 1886.  We talked about Lycans, the importance of lighting, and whether or not trenchcoats improve gameplay. Read on for the interview.

E3 2014 Trailerpalooza: Nintendo Edition

Nintendo might not have rented out an arena for E3 this year, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have some amazing games to show off.  Instead of a traditional press conference, they held a special digital event in its place.  But there was still a lot of filler to sit through, and that’s where Trailerpalooza comes in.  Read on to check out the good stuff.
