Max Payne 3 releasing March

Rockstar have announced that their highly anticipated next installment in the Max Payne franchise, Max Payne 3, will arrive for PS3, Xbox360 and PC some time in March. So far we know that the game will feature multiplayer, with a swish game mode that has dynamically changing maps and progression depending on how the game is being played. The game will also apparently employ the Natural Motion character animation and physics system seen in GTAIV and RDR, in addition to a vamped up version of Rockstar’s Advanced Game Engine.

Sonic Generations Collector’s Edition revealed

SEGA Europe has unveiled the Collectors Edition of Sonic Generations, and the bundle certainly looks to be a must buy for fans of the blue hedgehog. Included in the bundle is a collectable figurine showing off both Classic and Modern Sonic, an exclusive individually numbered 20th anniversary commemorative gold ring and a 20 years of Sonic art book, which apparently contains never before seen sketches from the past 20 years. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Beta open to all PSN users

Good news for PSN users – Ubisoft has announced that the multiplayer for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will be open to all PSN users for a short amount of time, no PSN+ or Uplay membership required. Starting September 8 and continuing through to September 11, you’ll be able to get your fill of Assassin’s Creed goodness. Batman: Arkham City the album releasing October 4

Warner Bros, Watertower Music and DC Entertainment have announced that Batman: Arkham City – The Album will be released on October 4. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer trailer released

Apparently these days you’re not a serious video game unless you have at least two multiplayer trailers. Hot on the heels of their first multiplayer trailer release, Activision have released yet another multiplayer trailer for their upcoming release Modern Warfare 3. It’s only a small little title – maybe you haven’t heard of it. You can check out the trailer, entitled ‘Tango Down’ below. Sadly it doesn’t feature any latin dancing, as I was hoping it would.

Uwe Boll to make another video game movie

Oh yes. Just when you thought it was safe to venture back to your local cinema, Uwe Boll has announced another video game to movie adaptation. This time he’s setting his sights on the not as well known Amiga computer game Zombie Massacre. Unlike his other movie releases, Boll has taken up the producer role for this movie, rather than settling into his regular director role. Ironically, the tagline for the movie reads “there is no hope” which is exactly what I say to myself after ever new movie announcement by Boll.

Bloodrayne Betrayal out now for the PSN

Bloodrayne Betrayal releases today for the PSN, and tomorrow for XBLA. The hack ‘n slash puts you in the shoes of Rayne, the sexy Dhampir with superhuman strength, speed and agility as she infiltrates a secluded castle chock full of dark and gruesome surprises. The side scroller adventure will set you back $14.99 on the PSN, and 1200 MSP for the XBLA. And don’t worry. Uwe Boll is nowhere near this release.
