New ‘previously on’ Darkness II trailer


The Darkness II is releasing February of next year, and to ensure gamers are caught up with what’s previously happened in the series, a new trailer has been released. Providing a recap of the events of the previous game (so yes – there are massive spoilers for those of you who haven’t played the first game) the trailer also shows off some impressive gameplay, in addition to illustrating the new ‘graphic noir’ style (read: dramatic graphic novel shading). Need for Speed: The Run Trailer


We’re nearing the holiday release season, and of course that means there’s another Need For Speed game on the horizon. Need For Speed: The Run looks set to include several new additions in an effort to freshen up the series. The newest trailer shows off some new footage of the game and reveals a little about the over-arching story. I’m not sure I’m feeling the plotline, but hey, I enjoyed Blood on the Sand, despite that game’s plot making absolutely no sense whatsoever. Have a look at the trailer below.

Nintendo 3DS – 1/3 players surveyed believe 3D detracts from experience


It’s hardly ideal when almost one-third of your player base believes your handheld’s major selling feature – the 3D – detracts from, rather than enhances, the gameplay experience. But that’s exactly what survey data from research firm Interpret LLC found when they surved 1600 adults regarding 3DS-related questions. Out of the people surveyed who had played the 3DS, 28 percent stated the 3D component detracted from their gaming experience, as compared to 22 percent who believed it to be an improvement. Another 13 percent played their 3DS with the 3D turned off.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning – Factions and Fae Trailer


Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the upcoming RPG from EA and 38 Studios has a new trailer, this time providing gamers with a little backstory to the title. Showcasing some impressive gameplay footage and revealing more information regarding the various factions the player will encounter during their journey, the trailer includes quite a lot of new information. Battlefield 3 – 99 problems trailer


What goes together like bread and butter? Why, Battlefield 3 and Jay Z, of course. A new trailer for EA’s upcoming shooter shows off some very quick gameplay shots to the lovely tunes of Jay Z’s song ’99 problems’. And by quick gameplay shots we say very quick, as this is again a teaser trailer for a trailer (seriously guys, can’t you just show the full trailer the first time?) Star Wars: TOR release date announced


Mark it in your calendars, Sar Wars fans – Bioware’s upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic has been given an official release date, and that date is 20th December, 2011 in North America, and 22nd December, 2011 in Europe. Preorder the game now to receive early access to the game, as well as a color stone which changes your weapon effect. Guess we all know what you Star Wars fans will be doing come Christmas, huh?

LA Noire complete edition for PC


Videogamer is reporting that a Czech retailer has leaked information about the LA Noire: Complete Edition for PC. According to the retailer, the complete edition will live up to its name and release with all existing DLC included for free. Local publisher Cenega is touting a November release date for the edition.

It’s not long to go now before Batman: Arkham City releases, and Warner Bros. have provided another trailer showing off the game and making the wait all that more unbearable. Deus Ex: Human Revolution Missing Link DLC teaser walkthrough


If you’re a Deus Ex: Human Revolution fan waiting for more information on the upcoming Missing Link DLC, you’re in luck. A new 5 minute walkthrough of the content has recently been posted by Eidos Montreal. Narrated by Mary Demarle, the game’s lead narrative designer, the walkthrough provides more detail regarding the upcoming DLC, as well as showing what players can expect gameplay wise from the new content.
