Free co-op DLC coming to Warhammer 40K: Space Marine in October

THQ has announced that Warhammer 40k: Space Marine will be receiving free co-op DLC in October. The Exterminatus co-op mode will include 2 scenarios that will enable an ‘elite squad of 4 space marines’ to battle against hordes of alien enemies. Score modifiers and dynamic challenges will be included to motivate players and to provide points which will allow them to rank up on leaderboards.

Upcoming expansion for DC Universe Online will be free

DC Universe Online‘s first expansion pack, entitled “Fight For The Light” will be releasing on September 6th and will be free to all active subscribers “as a way to thank loyal players”. The pack will add a new set of powers related to the Green Lantern’s ‘light’. New action-packed scenarios will also be included. Check below for the full press release from the game’s official site.

Dungeon Siege III DLC detailed

Square Enix and Obsidian Entertainment announced earlier today new DLC for Dungeon Siege III. The DLC, entitled “The Treasures of the Sun” will introduce players to the new area of the Aranoi Desert, as they search for a lost Legion hero and encounter new enemies. Aside from adding several hours of gameplay, the DLC will also increase the level cap to 35, enabling players to level their characters up 5 levels higher than currently allowed. The DLC releases sometime in October, and will set you back $9.99 or 800 MSP.

Muffin Knight available for android and iOS

Angry Mob Games have released their latest Android and iOS compatible game Muffin Knight – an action-packed platformer with beautifully colourful visuals and a myriad of fantasy-tale characters. In it, you play a little boy who was cursed (more like blessed I say) with the ability to turn into diferent charactes with every muffin he touches. In total there are 15 different characters you can turn into – including a unicorn who creates deadly rainbow coloured poop. Check below for more information and a trailer.

Sims Medieval gets new Pirates and Nobles pack

The Pirates and Nobles pack is now available to North American The Sims Medieval players, and features an all new storyline, new quests and a completely new Kingdom ambition. Choosing to play as either a pirate or a noble results in distinctly different playthroughs – and offers different items as well. Play as a pirate and you’ll of course have acess to a pirate’s best friend – the parrot (no – not a hook hand – stop thinking those things!). Play as a noble and you’ll get the interrogation chair.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is Racist? Square Enix responds

Claims that Deus Ex: Human Revolution features a racially-charged stereotypic character have resulted in the makers of the game releasing an official statement. Allegations had been made that Letitia the trash lady – an African American character seen early in the game – represented an inappropriate racial stereotype. Letitia is shown digging through a trash can (hence her name) and according to some, speaks in a ‘slave-era dialect’. Sony Entertainment Network Announced

Sony has announced that they will be combining the Playstation Network with their rebranded music and video services to create the Sony Enterntainment Network. According to Sony, the new service will be accessible via a variety of products, from android phones, Bravia tv’s, PS3, PSP’s and PC’s. The original services themselves will remain largely unchanged and will offer the same sort of content as before.
