Mark Your Calendars – Fuse Gets a Demo

I don’t know if you’ve heard yet, but you can be playing the highly anticipated co-op shooter Fuse from Insomnia games very, very soon.

You might remember us telling you that Fuse will be released May 28th in North America and May 31st in Europe, but EA and Insomniac Games have also just announced that a butt kicking shoot ’em up demo will be available on the Xbox marketplace and Playstation Network on May 7th.  Just in case you were planning on doing anything productive that day, consider this fair warning that you probably won’t actually get around to it.  Feed your cats extra food on the 6th.

Ted Price, CEO and founder of Insomniac had this to say:

“When it comes to Fuse, the biggest thing we’ve noticed when sharing it with others for the first time is that playing is believing.  Fuse takes four player co-op in a new direction with features you won’t find in other third person shooters: from LEAP where you can jump between each of the four unique agents at will to the experimental Xenotech weapons to the deep RPG-like character progression system. And by the way, all of these features rock for solo players as well. Join us in this brand new universe for a quintessential Insomniac Games experience.”

Well then.  This LEAP system sounds interesting.  Using that the player will be able to switch at will between the four Overstrike operatives while in combat.  That way, if you’re like me and you can never really figure out how you want to play, you don’t have to decide.  You’ll have access to all the various skill sets and weapons of each operative as you LEAP! from one to the other.  Ha. I see what they did there.  Ha.

There’s a plethora of combinations to use weapons and special skills, lots of cool upgrades to unlock, and the player can even play offline and level up on unique character paths.  Sounds good to me.

As you might have guessed, we’re pretty stoked here at Save Game about the release of Fuse.  So who wants to play the demo with us on May 7th?

… You do. The answer is you.
