Multiverse – Buffy and Firefly MMO developer shuts down

It’s with sadness that we report on the closure of Multiverse – the developer working on both the Buffy and Firefly MMO’s. Multiverse have announced via their official website that the reason for the closure was Multiverse’s inability to achieve a profitable business model, which led to the company ceasing operations in December due to lack of funding.

It’s a shame to see any games company shut down, and even more devastating when said company was working with two fan-favourite franchises. Plans are underway to support devs who wanted to continue to use the Multiverse Platform – the company’s technology system allowing devs to build and launch MMO projects more quickly and economically. More details on that can be found on their website.
