Do you know how many units Skyrim has sold since launch? A whole heck of a lot, if Bethesda’s latest announcement is anything to go by. The RPG has shipped over 7 million units worldwide across the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with more than 50% of launch units sold within 48 hours of the launch. For those of you playing at home, that’s pretty impressive stuff.

Robert Altman, the CEO and Chairman of ZeniMax Media stated:

“We are grateful for the fans’ response to Skyrim. Todd Howard and his team at Bethesda Game Studios have crafted a very special game. Anticipation for Skyrim has surpassed any game in our company’s history, and we are pleased that sales and reviews have reflected the quality and hours of amazing gameplay it provides.”

With 3.5 million units already sold, Bethesda is expecting to reach $450 million from global sales of the title.

That’s just pocketchange, really. Right?!
