New Assassin’s Creed 4 gameplay video details naval combat

While reaction to Assassin’s Creed 3 was decidely mixed, pretty much everyone agreed that the naval combat was the best part of the game.  Ubisoft has turned it into an integral part of Black Flag, and a new gameplay video details all of the ways it’s been expanded and enhanced.  Read on to see it for yourself.

Feast your eyes on 5 minutes of GTA5 gameplay footage

There have been numerous Grand Theft Auto 5 trailers.  While they all used in-game assets, none of them actually showed what the game looked like while it was being played.  Until now, that is.  Rockstar has released 5 minutes of narrated gameplay, and it’s a virtual all-you-can-eat buffet of footage.  Read on to dig in.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days coming this week

When Telltale Games said “early July,” they apparently weren’t kidding.  Their brand new DLC episode of The Walking Dead, entitled “400 Days” is being released this week, and it’s sure to be a lighthearted comedic romp through the zombie infested nightmare landscapes of the former United States of America.  Read on for the details.

Your current headset might work with the Xbox One after all… maybe

It has been a long, brutal month for the Xbox public relations department.  I sorta want to buy them all a drink.  The latest uproar concerns Microsoft’s decision to sell the Xbox One’s redesigned headset separately, and to make the Xbox One’s controller incapable of accepting the current Xbox 360 headset.  However, much like their online and used game policies, the headset rules might be changing.  Read on for the details.

Deadpool smashes the fourth wall (and everything else) in his new launch trailer

For the longest time, Superhero games were a hit or miss genre.  Actually, mostly miss.  Thanks to the Arkham series of Batman games, that’s no longer the case.  Deadpool is about to get a big budget action game of his own, and if the launch trailer is any indication, it’s going to be everything you’d expect from the unstable antihero.

No end in sight for PS3-bricking update glitch

There’s an old Chinese proverb: “If update is new, wait a day or two.”  Many PS3 owners who failed to heed the proverb’s wisdom found themselves with bricked consoles Monday night due to a faulty system update.  Nearly 48 hours later, Sony is yet to issue a fix.  Read on for the details.
