The reviews are coming hard and fast for Konami’s latest slice and dice Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. And to celebrate the upcoming release of the game, we thought we’d do something we do well – and that’s make a signature cocktail inspired by the game itself.

I’d better start saving for my upgrades because this new REDengine 3 they’re using will probably be so awesome my PC will die. But at least it would die happily.

The very idea that people love something so much they want to spend their own time and money creating something that is not actually theirs, that they probably won’t make money from, and that could sometimes end in ridicule makes me happy. Fan art, fan fiction, Cosplay, and yes fan films always make me smile.
Read more »Sure, it’s not really news. It’s not even really Mass Effect news. It has nothing to do with any grand plans for epic, chock full of feels, upcoming DLC. Nope. This is just something I stumbled across and decided you all needed to see it. So without further ado, here is Mass Effect’s Urdnot Wrex as Zangief in Street Fighter X Tekken PC. Thanks to Video Games Best Mods for providing me with a chuckle at work. Video after the jump.
Read more »Call of Duty (COD)has become so widely renowned, that anybody on the streets will recognize the name, just as much as someone recognises the word ‘McDonalds’. Back in 2003, critics and gamers alike raved about how amazing and realistic the first game was. It had gained universal acclaim, and surely this warranted a release for a sequel. After Call of Duty 2 received good reviews, it was just a matter of time before the third one was released, and then the fourth, fifth and so on. Call of Duty: Black Ops II marks the 9th game in the series, and […]
Read more »The idea for this article came about after talking to a friend over the negative fan reaction that continues over the new Devil May Cry. Reviews have been coming in over Ninja Theory’s reboot, and they are mostly positive (we gave it a 7.5). The friend I was speaking with was frustrated with fans that were going to miss out on a good game over their hatred over the new look. For the record I agree, it is very petty to shun something simply because you like the old one better. However, I can see their point even though I […]
Read more »Max Brooks, the author of the legendary novel World War Z, once said that knives are useful in combat because blades don’t need reloading. In Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance I love that Raiden, the game’s main protagonist, wields a great hulking katana called the High-Frequency Blade. I like the fact that I don’t have to run around looking for bullets, or worry about how my ammunition levels are going or take hits while I’m reloading. To be quite honest, I’m over games with guns as the primary weapon. Give me something different, something melee! Give me Metal Gear Rising: Revengenace!

We covered questions focusing on her cosplaying, the challenges and rewards associated with being a cosplayer, advice for those wanting to try their hand at cosplaying and more. Read on for her […]
Read more »Here we are. Almost to the end of another year and it’s that time where we reflect on the year that was and decide which games were the standout in 2012.
