2013 will be marked as the year that famed heroine Lara Croft made her remarkable return to the gaming industry. It’s Necromorphs, Necromorphs everywhere, with Dead Space 3 marking the third game where dismembering limbs is the song to saving your skin. But with three games in, is the tune a little too overplayed? Have Dead Space’s scary monsters lost their fear factor? The answer to these questions is a resounding HELL NO. ... more. -

Far Cry 3 is a deep, violent and drug-fuelled venture into a lush, tropical island with an unforgiving and dominant underworld. Aside from Rook Island’s dark pretences, you play how you want to play, do exactly what you want to do and as a result your experience will be entirely unique. You can fight your way through the main quest armed with the weapon of your choosing, or maybe explore ancie... more. -

Do we finally get our answers to the burning question of the past 4 games? Did the newest assassin measure up to the lineage of Ezio and Altair? Did Desmond’s story come to a fitting conclusion? Yes... and no. It’s a bit of a mixed bag sadly, when there... more. -

There are games that hold a special place in your heart - ones that you look back on with fond memories because your experience when playing them was magical. The original Need for Speed: Most Wanted was this kind of game for me. I am pleased to say that the current re-imagining of Need for Speed: Most Wanted by Criterion and EA Games retains all the magic I remember, and adds more. ... more. -

0 Comments Posted by Tash on December 2, 2012 under Reviews, PC, Reviews, Xbox360, Reviews, PS3, ReviewsThe modern militaristic shooter is a crowded genre, already featuring heavy hitters like the Call of Duty franchise. For a game to stand out amidst the shooter crowd, it needs to be a powerhouse in its own right - well executed and planned gameplay must combine with excellently realised set pieces, responsive control mechanics, logical AI and strong visuals and storytelling. Unfortunately for Me... more. -
XCOM: Enemy Unknown

What I got was an amazing mix of turn based strategy, resource management and a series of lose-lose scenarios. For months I had been looking for a tactical game to sink my teeth into and despite a few bugs and odd design choices, XCOM proved to be exactly what I wanted. ... more. -
