Any Half Life 3 clues on the internet are trolling attempts, says Valve
The search for clues which may lead to an official confirmation of Half Life 3 has become almost a holy grail amongst the gaming community. Fans of Valve’s series have trawled the internet to find clues relating to Half Life 3, believing that Valve is just the kind of company who would craftily hide clues on the internet as a precurser to an official announcement regarding the game. This is not the case, however, according to Chet Faliszek, a writer at Valve, who has stated on Steam’s Official Forums that any clues found online are simply a case of ‘the community trolling the community.’
The full post, which can be found here, reads:
You are being trolled.
There is no ARG.
Wheatley’s speech was set in Portal 2 fiction – that is all.
There has been no directive from Gabe to leak anything. That is all false.
I just want to say this so there is no confusion. This is the community trolling the community nothing more. While it is nice to see people excited about anything HL, I hate seeing people be trolled like this.
Thanks
Looks like you can pop those tin-foil hats back on your dressers, Valve fans.
