Bethesda confirms you can marry anyone – male or female – in Skyrim

skyrim

Bethesda’s PR Executive Pete Hines has confirmed that same sex marriages are included in Skyrim. When asked if same sex marriages were possible in the game, Hines stated that Bethesda weren’t making a huge deal of the issue, but that players could marry anyone. He went on to clarify that anyone meant male or female, regardless of your characters gender, rather than any random NPC.

Given that Bioware recently tackled the same-sex relationship issue in Dragon Age 2, allowing for male/male and female/female romances – is this a move in the right direction regarding relationship equality? Let us know below.
