Dead Rising 3 gets a choose-your-own-adventure trailer
Anyone remember those “choose your own adventure” books? They were fun, if a bit predictable. You never, ever tried to disarm pirate booby traps by yourself. Dead Rising 3 has a new trailer out that takes the choose your own adventure theme, but adds slicing up zombies with a lightsaber to the mix. See what I mean by reading on.
Yes, I said lightsabers. Choose wisely, and you’ll get to watch Nick Ramos carve up a seething horde of undead ghouls with a friggin lightsaber. Yeah, there’s other weapons on display too. Like… Nick’s fists. And Nick’s boots. And a mop. But the lightsaber is the real draw. Check out the interactive trailer below, and see if you can get Nick all the way through to the end.
Did you see the lightsaber? Does that look like fun, or what? Before you get too excited, keep in mind that unlike the previous installment, Dead Rising 3 is a Microsoft exclusive, and will only be available on the new Xbox One console when it launches on November 22nd. So all you Sony fans are going to have to sit this one out… for now. This is the videogame industry, after all. Much like how nobody is ever really dead in science fiction, very few titles are ever exclusive forever.
