Dragon Age: Inquisition – The Return of Races
As you may have noticed by now, Dragon Age: Inquisition, arriving in 2014 will again allow for the different playable races in the game. This means you can once again be a stocky and gruff but loveable Dwarf or a willowy, yet strong Elf and Game Informer has a new video feature all about that shiz.
You can find the video here on the Game Informer site, but honestly I’ve never even heard of those guys so as Joe mentioned before I’m not sure why they’re getting all the exclusives.
Watching this video I was struck with a few things:
1. Mike Laidlaw’s beard is epic and awesome and you should all bow before it
…I guess that’s the really important thing.
However, the other thing I want to point out is that the character models they seem to be showing us look absolutely stunning and incredibly realistic. To me, Dragon Age 2 was kind of a visual nightmare on many levels, from making Alistair look like a giant baked potato, to reducing the elves to shoeless goblin-like soul harvesters (I don’t even want to talk about Zevran), and on a lesser level, the fact that Isabella couldn’t be bothered to put on a damn pair of pants. So it’s nice to see that these elves and dwarves in particular look like something I can get excited about!
The more I hear about Dragon Age: Inquisition, the more absolutely giddy I become. And then I get sad that it’s so far away. And then I remember that my patience will likely pay off in a glorious display of stunning next gen console graphics and head ‘sploding gameplay. Not to mention the inevitably complex and engaging story.
I can’t wait!
