Little Space Heroes selected as official honoree in the 16th Webby Awards
Excellent news for our friends at Bubble Gum Interactive, with Little Space Heroes – the virtual sci-fi themed universe for kids – selected as an Official Honoree of the 16th Annual Webby Awards. And it’s double the congratulations, for Little Space Heroes has selected in not one, but two categories – games and youth.
For those of you who aren’t in the know, the Webby Awards are a pretty big deal – with the New York Times announcing the Awards as the “Internet’s highest honor”. The awards honor excellence on the internet, and include websites, online film and video, mobile and apps and interactive advertising and media. The 16th annual Webby Awards received close to 10 000 entries from more than 60 countries across the world. So for Little Space Heroes to be honored in two categories – that is a major achievement and we tip our hats to everyone at Bubble Gum Interactive.
Phil Mason, CEO, had this to say after the announcement:
“Our team has been working very hard to create an amazing new gaming experience for kids worldwide. And we’re thrilled to learn that Little Space Heroes made it onto the Official Honoree List in not one but TWO categories in the 16th Annual Webby Awards. It’s exciting to see us join a prestigious honour roll that includes Cartoon Network, Google’s Creative Lab, Nickelodeon and of course our old friends at Disney. It’s onwards and upwards for Little Space Heroes in 2012 as we continue to develop the story in the virtual universe as well as mobile games and cartoons.”
We at Save Game would like to take the opportunity to congratulate everyone at Bubble Gum Interactive on these very prestigious honors. This is a fantastic achievement for the developer and the Little Space Heroes team, and we hope this is only the start of a swath of awards and recognition!
