Mass Effect 3 Launches Demo, Teases Trailer
Yep, more Mass Effect 3 news. Today, the long awaited demo finally releases on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. But that’s not all the ME3 news of the day. Bioware also gave us a sneak peak at a new cinematic that will be debuting this weekend. Read on for details on the demo’s availability, and to watch the teaser.
While the Xbox and PC versions have been confirmed to be avialable for download, it appears as if the PS3 version has still not appeared on the Playstation Network. Bioware listed an approximate availability of 4pm PST. (Update: PS3 version is now available for download) The single player is open to everyone, while the multiplayer portion is currently only open to those with early access, granted through the purchase of Battlefield 3. The multiplayer demo will become open to everyone on February 17. Originally, Bioware promised that they would offer additional ways to gain early access to the multiplayer demo, but those plans have apparently failed to materialize.
In addition to the demo, Bioware also launched a teaser version of their new cinematic trailer. It offers a glimpse of the Reapers beginning their invasion, and ends with a tagline we’re sure to being seeing a lot of, “Take Earth Back.” Have a look…

Damn. The word “foreboding” comes to mind, doesn’t it? The full trailer will premiere during this Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead on AMC, and will hopefully be online soon afterward.
