As the release of The Order: 1886 draws near, we’re learning more and more about the game’s world, and the characters that inhabit it. A new trailer released earlier today delves deeper than ever before into the game’s story, while showing off some explosive action at the same time. If you’re considering adding The Order to your collection, this trailer is a much watch. Read on to check it out.

We’ve known the basics of The Order: 1886 for quite some time now. Set in an alternate history London, the game tells the story of Sir Galahad, a member of the King Arthur’s fabled Knights of the Round Table, who has fought for centuries to protect humankind against the Lycans, vicious half breeds of man and animal. Though vastly outnumbered, the Lycans’ immense speed and strength led to victory after victory against the humans. It was only the industrial revolution, and the invention of new and powerful weaponry, that allowed humanity to finally turn the tide of war in their favor.

But there is apparently far more going on in the story of The Order: 1886 than mere monster hunting. The trailer contains minor spoilers, so if you want to experience the game unspoiled, turn back now.

The new trailer touches on class warfare, and a rebellion against The Order. There are also hints of a conspiracy within the Order itself, which appears to force Galahad to turn against his fellow knights. Intermingled with these snippets of plot is some of the most dramatic combat we’ve seen yet. Multiple weapons are shown off, from machine guns, to sniper rifles, to a gun that shoots friggin lightning bolts. It’s a pretty intense two minutes. So take a deep breath, and watch it for yourself below.

Developed by Ready at Dawn exclusively for the Playstation 4, The Order will be released globally this coming Febraury 20th.

Joe was born in a time of war. A console war. Two electronic titans were locked in a heated battle for the living rooms of America. Which titans, you ask? Well, the Fairchild Channel F and the Atari 2600 of course. You see, Joe is old. So many of his favorite games tend to be on the older side as well. But that hasn’t stopped him from developing unhealthy obsessions with such modern franchises as Halo and Mass Effect. Just don’t tell him how long it’s been since the original Metroid was released. His aging heart can’t take the shock.
