PS Vita’s European Launch Line Up Detailed

vitapack

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have announced that the PS Vita will launch in Europe with 11 first-party games come February 22. According to Worldwide Studios Europe Senior Vice President Michael Denny, the line up is “one of the best launch line-ups of any games console ever launched.” Not that he’s at all biased, of course. The confirmed titles for launch for the European release include Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048 and MotorStorm RC. The full list of titles is below.

PS Vita titles confirmed as available at the SCEE launch on February 22, 2012:

  • Uncharted: Golden Abyss
  • WipEout 2048
  • Reality Fighters
  • Little Deviants
  • ModNation Racers: Road Trip
  • Everybody’s Golf
  • Escape Plan
  • Top Darts
  • Hustle Kings
  • Unit 13
  • MotorStorm RC

These first party games will also be supported by a variety of third-party games, including EA Sports FIFA Football, Ninja Gaiden, Ridge Racer, Assassin’s Creed and Silent HIll: Book of Memories.

I’ll admit – the only real ‘must buy’ title that is jumping out at me given that first party list is Uncharted: Golden Abyss. ModNation Racers and WipEout are strong titles, but Top Darts? Really, Sony? That’s not going to sell your handheld.

But what do you think? Is this a strong line-up? Any surprises? Am I wrong and are you itching to buy Top Darts? Let me know in the comments section below.
