Save Game would like to take a moment to thank all our readers for supporting our site, and to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We here at Save Game aren’t new gamers, but we are a new video game website, and amongst a sea of older, more established gaming sites it can be difficult to make enough of an impact to be noticed.

2011 has been a huge year for Save Game – or to be more truthful – the end part of 2011 has been a huge year for Save Game. Established on August 22 of this year, with our first story on the Mass Effect 3 coverage at Gamescon, we’ve reported on a wide variety of stories, interviewed industry leaders and had the chance to mingle with the power hitters of the biz. We’ve attended press events, covered the big stories, been a part of midnight launches and even made our own contribution to the gaming community with opinions and feature articles. We’ve grown to include a core group of readers, with a community following as passionate as our staff members. Save Game now has over 1600 followers on Twitter, over 500 likes on Facebook, and over 350 forum members. And we couldn’t have achieved any of those milestones without your support.

The Save Game staff appreciate your input. We love hearing your comments on our articles. We want to thank you for your article likes, for your retweets, for spreading the word about Save Game and for continuing to follow us through the year. We started Save Game for you guys – to establish a place online that passionate gamers – whether they be occasional dabblers of the hobby or hardcore gamers – could go for the latest news, reviews, opinions and feature articles. And we feel in our first 4 and a half months that we have begun building the foundation of that.

In the new year, you’ll be seeing more from us. We’ll continue to bring you up to the minute news, reviews, opinion articles and feature articles from our team of dedicated writers, as well as more competitions and give-aways. But we’ll be showcasing new content as well – Save Game has some exciting projects in the works and we cannot wait to show them to you.

Until then, we want to thank you again for supporting us, and for making our first few months amazing. We hope that you’ll continue to support us into the new year and beyond. But most of all, the Save Game staff would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we hope you have a fantastic and enjoyable holiday break.

We’ll leave you with a very special something that Staff Member Liz made especially for our readers. Enjoy some holiday gaming time and we’ll see you in 2012!

Tash is a self-diagnosed gaming fanatic with a doctorate in Psychology. She's also a self-confessed Mass Effect fangirl and will likely talk your ears off if you ever get her started on the subject. A lover of all things RPG and adventure, she has more gamer related action figures and memorabilia than any 30 something year old professional has a right to own, and has spent more time than she’d like to admit to daydreaming about exactly what she would do should the Zombie Apocalypse actually happen.
