Skyrim voice cast includes Wonder Woman and Colonel Tigh

Bethesda have released details of the voice cast for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and unsurprisingly there are some very familiar names. Chief among them are Christopher Plummer from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Insider; Max von Sydow of Minority Report and The Exorcist; Joan Allen from The Bourne Ultimatum; Lynda Carter of Wonder Woman fame; and Michael Hogan who played Saul Tigh on one of my favourite shows, Battlestar Galactica.

Plummer plays Arngeir, leader of the Greybeard order of philosopher monks. Sydow will step into the shoes of Esbern, chronicler and Agent of the Blades (who fans of the series will be very familiar with). Joan Allen plays Delphine, another Blade, alongside Lynda Carter who voices Gormlaith Golden-Hilt, an ancient Nord heroine (of course).

Michael Hogan will play Imperial General Tullius who is taked with crushing the Stormcloak rebellion (a definite rank increase from his days of playing Colonel Tigh on Battlestar Galactica, or Captain Bailey from Mass Effect 2). General Tullius’s chief Lieutenant, Legate Rikke, will be played by Claudia Christian (of Babylon 5 fame), whilst Vladimir Kulich (Smoking Aces, The 13th Warrior) will play Ulfric Stormcloak, Jarl of Windhelm and Tullius’ nemesis.

Other well known VA’s in the cast include Renee Victor (Weeds), George Coe (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) and Diane Louise Salinger (Carnivale).

Looks like Skyrim is gearing up to be epic in every way.
