Do you hear that steam whistle blowing?  Do you feel the ground starting to rumble under your feet?  The Watchdogs hype train is a coming, and she’s coming right quick.  We’re now just days away from the launch of Ubisoft’s multiplatform action adventure, which means it’s time for the obligatory launch trailer.  One last chance for the publisher to show you how crazy amazing their game is, and we’ve got it for you after the break.

By law, launch trailers have to include a number of required elements.  Among them are beauty shots of the game environment, voice overs from the protagonist, cinematics edited to look like gameplay and/or gameplay edited to look like cinematics, lots and lots of energetic footage interspersed with select glowing quotes from early reviews, and most important of all, a slow motion shot of someone walking away from an explosion.  Luckily for Ubisoft, this launch trailer for Watchdogs has all of those things.  Does anyone wanna play launch trailer bingo?  Get your cards out, and click play below.

Ohhhhh I almost had bingo! All I was missing was “music you swear you’ve heard in another trailer.” Oh well. Watchdogs will be released wooooorldwide this May 27th for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. If you insist on getting it for the Wii U, you’re going to have to wait until later this year. Sorry, Wii U fans.

Joe was born in a time of war. A console war. Two electronic titans were locked in a heated battle for the living rooms of America. Which titans, you ask? Well, the Fairchild Channel F and the Atari 2600 of course. You see, Joe is old. So many of his favorite games tend to be on the older side as well. But that hasn’t stopped him from developing unhealthy obsessions with such modern franchises as Halo and Mass Effect. Just don’t tell him how long it’s been since the original Metroid was released. His aging heart can’t take the shock.
