Read more »Synchronized christmas light displays are all the rage these days – and we here at Save Game have seen many impressive ones to the tunes of the latest catchy pop beat on the radio. However, none of those displays can hold a candle to the most recent synchronized display we’ve come across, which features synchronised christmas lights to the tune of the Skyrim theme. Read more »One of the new and interesting features about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is that the character you create to prance around this magical land can now get married to the man, woman, elf, cat or lizard of their choice. There are a few small perks to this feature such as having a spouse to cook you things and give you money. Then there is the “lovers comfort” perk that comes from sleeping in the same bed with them. Read more »It seems Skyrim has been quite sucessful for Bethesda. I know, I’m shocked too. Today Bethesda released some official numbers detailing just how successful their magical RPG Skyrim is, and apparently it’s $650 million retail dollars worth of successful. That equates to around 10 million copies of the game being shipped.
Read more »Motion controlled gaming seems to be the new ‘in’ thing for consoles, what with both Sony and Microsoft getting in on the technology sold to the masses by Nintendo before them. PC gamers have been left out of this body-movement loop – but no more! A very creative modder has posted a youtube video highlighting how Bethesda’s epic RPG Skyrim can be played on the PC using a series of motion controls. And it doesn’t just stop at motion controls – voice commands are also incorporated including….you guessed it…dragon shouts!

Read more »The world of Skyrim is huge. And when I say huge, I mean HUGE. And unless you have a map handy (or the guidebook), trying to keep track of where everything is is an exercise in frustration. Looking to solve that problem is an ucoming app for the iPhone and iPad called Dragon Shout. The unofficial app, which will be hitting the app store soon, will feature a fully zoomable map of Skyrim which supports annotated markers, so users will be able to mark places of interest. And the best news? The app will be free.
Read more »In the lead up to the release of Skyrim, Bethesda provided an offer to fans – anyone who had a child born on 11/11/2011 – Skyrim’s release date – and named it ‘Dovahkiin’ would end up nabbing themselves a lifetime supply of Bethesda titles. No doubt they never expected anyone actually taking them up on their offer, but die-hard fans being die-hard fans, someone has actually done exactly this.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines used his twitter account to say: “PS3 and 360 updates have been submitted for certification. PC coming too. Current estimate is that they will be live the week after T’giving”
Read more »Do you know how many units Skyrim has sold since launch? A whole heck of a lot, if Bethesda’s latest announcement is anything to go by. The RPG has shipped over 7 million units worldwide across the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with more than 50% of launch units sold within 48 hours of the launch. For those of you playing at home, that’s pretty impressive stuff.
