How the Saints Save Christmas Launch trailer will fill you with holiday cheer

Saints-Save-Christmas-BannerRudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, It’s a Wonderful Life, Mr. Hanky.  All timeless holiday classics which will be celebrated and cherished for untold generations to come.  If the launch trailer for How the Saints Save Christmas is any indication, I think we can safely add it to that list.  Read on to see it for yourself.

In case you’re wondering what this DLC is all about, let me bring you up to speed.  You see, Zinyak has captured Santa Claus, and trapped him inside his simulation.  The Saints, naturally, want to save good ole Saint Nick, but the President isn’t feeling any holiday cheer.  Maybe it’s because the Earth has been vaporized and humanity has been brought to the brink of extinction.  Or maybe the President is afraid of elves.  Whatever the reason, it’s up to the rest of the Saints to convince their leader to free Santa and save Christmas.  Check out the festive launch trailer below.

How the Saints Save Christmas consists of three story driven quests, and a number of holiday themed goodies.  New weapons include the North Pole, the infamous Red Rider BB Gun, and a Christmas version of the Dubstep Gun.  You’ll also gain access to a pair of Christmas vehicles; a flying reindeer and Santa’s sleigh.  Season pass owners can access the DLC for free, or you can purchase it for $6.99 on Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam.  How the Saints Save Christmas is available now.

PS: If you didn’t catch the Die Hard reference in that trailer, I’m sorry but we can’t be friends anymore.

Joe was born in a time of war. A console war. Two electronic titans were locked in a heated battle for the living rooms of America. Which titans, you ask? Well, the Fairchild Channel F and the Atari 2600 of course. You see, Joe is old. So many of his favorite games tend to be on the older side as well. But that hasn’t stopped him from developing unhealthy obsessions with such modern franchises as Halo and Mass Effect. Just don’t tell him how long it’s been since the original Metroid was released. His aging heart can’t take the shock.
