About the Author: Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Tash is a self-diagnosed gaming fanatic with a doctorate in Psychology. She's also a self-confessed Mass Effect fangirl and will likely talk your ears off if you ever get her started on the subject. A lover of all things RPG and adventure, she has more gamer related action figures and memorabilia than any 30 something year old professional has a right to own, and has spent more time than she’d like to admit to daydreaming about exactly what she would do should the Zombie Apocalypse actually happen.

Uncharted 3 Behind the Scenes: Motion Capture Dev Diary

One of the extras I love to check on the Collectors Editions I buy are the developer diaries, which often provide insights into game design, development and process that I find fascinating to watch. And the only thing better than a dev diary is a dev diary for a game that looks to be one of the hottest releases of the holiday season. Sony and Naughty Dog have partnered up to release the next in the Developer Diary series, this time focusing on the motion capture process. The video is well worth checking out, so if you haven’t yet overdosed […]

Saints Row: The Third – Initiation Station Trailer

More mad magic from Saints Row: The Third with the release of the Initation Trailer. Showcasing the customization options players will have access to in the third iteration of the popular series, the trailer provides reason #233 to pick up Saints Row: The Third when the game releases in November. Not only are the options more extensive than almost any other game on the market (name me a game where you can play as a shotgun weilding 1950s houswife complete with rollers in her hair) but the game will provide players with the ability to upload their character online, and […]

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning – Cinematic Video

The guys from 38 Studios have released a new video discussing the cinematics of their upcoming RPG Kingdoms of Amalur. The video provides a very interesting look into just what goes into creating the cinematic cut scenes for the game, and is well worth checking out. Not only does it illustrate the process of cinematic cutscene creation, but it also shows the finished product, and it’s a nice little snapshot into the mechanisms behind a game feature we often think little about.

Snoop Dogg’s Guide to the RAGE Wasteland

Which hip’n’cool rapper do you think about when you think about RAGE? Why, Snoop Dogg, of course! Ever the jack of all trades, Snoop is featured in the latest RAGE videos, where he kindly walks us through his bare necessities for surviving the wasteland and his weapons of choice. Included in these critical wasteland survival items are a waffle maker, scented candles, ‘crops’ (for your brain and cardio, of course) and a gentleman’s magazine. Check out the two videos below, and make sure you have all the items he mentioned in a readily available emergency kit.
