Good news for Portal fans (and that’s about what? 3/4 of gamers now?) with the announcement that Portal 2 is to receive free DLC. Yep, that’s right. FREE. Now, pop back your hats that have just blown off, and mark October 4 on your calendars as that’s when the content is releasing. Entitled “Peer Review”, the DLC will include more missions for P-Body and Atlas, with GLaDOS even getting some screentime.

And just because it’s had its fair share of movies and television shows in the past doesn’t mean it can’t have a new movie now, as Mortal Kombat has proven today. New Line Studios, who produced the 1990s Mortal Kombat films, have announced they will be making a new movie with Kevin Tancharoen at the helm. Tancharoen was responsible for the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth trailer, as well as the recently released Mortal Kombat: Legacy web series.

The Beyond series sets the stage for events occurring in Guild Wars 2, focusing on legendary characters and crucial events. Winds of Change is set in Cantha and features 11 new quests, 5 respawned zones, new costumes and new battles. It is set to be the largest free content expansion the series has seen to date.

The paper details 43 proposals for reforms in the classification system. The ALRC is seeking public input, and individuals interested in submitting have until the 18th November, 2011 to do so.
Read more »The sixth and final RAGE gameplay trailer, entitled “Jackal Canyon” has just been released. In it, the Resistance has heard rumors regarding the surfacing of an Ark in Jackal Valley, and the player is tasked with searching the site for a data decrypter. Of course, finding it is not as easy as it sounds, given the fact that the valley plays host to one of the Wastelands most brutal factions, the titular Jackal Clan. Check out the trailer below.
Read more »Ubisoft’s post apocalyptic action adventure title I Am Alive will see a release via the PSN and XBLA. The game, which follows a man’s journey to find his wife and daughter separated from him due to the “event”, will have players challenged by both enemies and the environment, according to Ubisoft. The game will apparently utilize a unique combat system, and deadly atmospheres within the game’s story mean that stamina and resource management become of utmost importance.
