Sony has unveiled the PSVita’s packaging, and whilst I’m usually not a package ogler, I’ll admit I do like the crisp blue shown here. Read more »Gamers can definitely be described as both a dedicated and creative lot, but this example of devotion to bringing an iconic in-game weapon to life has to be seen to be believed. PlumBrothers’ 1:1 scale lancer is a very impressive build in and of itself, but when you realise it not only features a working trigger mechanism, loads rubber bands from its very own clip and also has a working chainsaw, it becomes even more of an engineering marvel.

Xbox World is reporting that the latest issue of their magazine (out October 25) will reveal a “killer new feature” for Mass Effect 3. And that killer new feature could well be the inclusion of Multiplayer, with a flyer for the game from a South African retailer surfacing and claiming the Collector’s Edition will include an “online multiplayer pass.”
Read more »Sony has announced that their highly anticipated third person adventure-platformer Uncharted 3 will require a one-time-use PSN pass in order to play the online portion of the game. Speaking in an interview with Spanish gaming website The Vault, Juan Jiménez, Sony Espana’s Software Manager, revealed the game will require an online pass, similar to the pass required for Resistance 3, another recently released exclusive Sony title.

Leaked details of Nightwing specific trophies have surfaced on PS3Trophies.org, practically confirming that Nightwing will be the fourth playable Challenge Mode character.
Read more »SEGA have released a new trailer for their upcoming FPS Aliens Colonial Marines which places players firmly in the shoes of space marines as they attempt to survive against the alien xenomorphs (without the addition of the Predators this time).The trailer is narrated by Randy Pitchford, the President of Gearbox software, and whilst the footage shown isn’t exactly new (it’s the same gameplay they showed at E3), it’s at least something to watch to pass the time between the game’s release.

Read more »Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is the latest game to get the Limited Edition treatment – because its title wasn’t already long enough. Konami has announced that their newest re-imagining of an older game series will come in a Limited Edition version. Those gamers who decide to shell out the extra moolah for the edition will receive special packaging by the series’ lead artist, Yoji Shinkawa and a 248 page art book called The Art of Metal Gear Solid. And that’s it.

Cyanide – the developers of the just released Game of Thrones: Genesis RTS based on the Game of Thrones universe have re-confirmed they are also working on an RPG style game. Speaking to Kotaku, studio director Yves Bordeleau revealed some juicy details regarding the upcoming story-heavy RPG.
