Bruce Wayne grows a beard in the Arkham Origins Initiation launch trailer

Arkham-Origins-BannerLet’s face it; a beard wouldn’t really work for Batman.  It would interfere with his aerodynamics, and depending on the cowl, it could get really itchy.  So it’s a good thing that Bruce Wayne got his facial hair phase out of the way before becoming the Dark Knight.  Read on to check out the Batman: Arkham Origins Initiation DLC launch trailer, and see what I mean.

Initiation takes place before Bruce Wayne donned the cape and cowl, and tells the story of how he mastered those sick nasty martial arts skills of his. The DLC is set high in the Paektu-San Mountains of North Korea, and introduces four unique challenge maps, each one filled with new enemies to unleash copious amounts of whoop ass upon.  The DLC will also feature a final confrontation with Bruce Wayne’s “greatest and most pitiless teacher, Kirigi.”  It’s unknown at this time whether or not Kirigi has a long, flowing mustache which he twirls while belittling Bruce’s inferior skills, but the odds are pretty good that he does.  Check out the trailer below.

Initiations will also come with two new skins: Initiation Bruce Wayne and Vigilante Bruce Wayne.  Players who already own the Arkham Origins season pass will be able to download Initiation for free.  On it’s own, it’ll retail for $6.99.  Initiations will be available December 3rd on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, and PC.

Joe was born in a time of war. A console war. Two electronic titans were locked in a heated battle for the living rooms of America. Which titans, you ask? Well, the Fairchild Channel F and the Atari 2600 of course. You see, Joe is old. So many of his favorite games tend to be on the older side as well. But that hasn’t stopped him from developing unhealthy obsessions with such modern franchises as Halo and Mass Effect. Just don’t tell him how long it’s been since the original Metroid was released. His aging heart can’t take the shock.
