Never Dead Releasing February 3, 2012
Konami has announced that Never Dead, their demonic action game co-developed with Rebellion Software, will be releasing February 3, 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Never Dead features Bryce Boltzmann, an immortal hero with a rather interesting gift (or is that curse) – he is able to re-attach torn limbs to his body, and even having no limbs at all can’t stop him – his head simply rolls around, searching for his lost parts.
The ability to continue fighting even when you have lost your limbs brings up interesting gameplay mechanics – with amputated body parts being able to be used as weapons. Combat isn’t the only area where this mechanism can be used, however – Bryce can launch his head into hidden areas to gain access to new areas of the map.
Never Dead will be supported with post-launch DLC content and add-ons, which Konami will likely detail closer to launch.
