Epic cancels Bulletstorm 2, kicks puppy

OK, only half of that headline is true.  I mean… Epic Games might kick puppies.  There’s no proof that they don’t, but I guess we should stick with “innocent until proven guilty” on that one.  Sadly, the other half of the headline is very true.  There will be no sequel to Bulletstorm, the over-the-top first person shooter that launched in early 2011.  Read on to see what the head of Epic Games had to say about Bulletstorm, and his reasons for pulling the plug on its sequel.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Maps available on Xbox Live

Call of Duty fans: your monthly release of multiplayer maps has arrived, but only if you’re an Elite Xbox360 subscriber. Premium Call of Duty Elite subscribers can check Xbox Live now to see two new multiplayer maps – Sanctuary and Foundation. If you’re a non-premium subscriber, or a PS3 or PC player then tough luck – you get zilch.

Mass Effect 3 Patch available now; fixes face import bug

The hotly anticipated Mass Effect 3 patch may already be out for the PC, but today sees the release of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the patch, which will, amongst other things, fix that dastardly bug which prevented players from importing their character faces from Mass Effect 1 or 2. Michael Hogan joins Claudia Black in TERA Voice Cast

Get excited, sci fi fans, as Michael Hogan and Claudia Black have just been announced to be joining the VO cast of TERA, the action MMO from En Masse Entertainment. Both Hogan and Black should be well known to sci-fi fans – with Hogan starring as Col. Tigh in the fan favourite Battlestar Galactica reboot, and Black starring in a multitude of sci-fi projects, most notably Farscape and Stargate.
