Bioware mulling a next-gen reissue of the Mass Effect trilogy

Thief launch trailer features mayhem, angst, and a topless tiger woman

Wolfenstein: The New Order gets a release date, new trailer, and a big pre-order bonus

Get Pysched.  Bethesda has announced a release date for their new entry in the Wolfenstein series, The New Order.  They’ve also unveiled a new trailer that gives us our first detailed look at hero BJ Blazkowicz and the dystopian alternate history he’s tasked to save.  Oh, and pre-ordering gets you access to the DOOM beta.  So there’s that too.  Read on for the details.

Hands on with the Titanfall beta

Let’s get one thing out of the way straight away – I’m not a fan of multiplayer FPS games, and I am not someone who gets excited about challenging, engaging, player vs player multiplayer maps. I have my feet very firmly planted in the ‘single player is king’ camp. With that said – I had a damn lot of fun with Titanfall, and based on the strength of what it offers to players, it just might be the killer console seller than Xbox One is looking for.

Last year, Crystal Dynamics rebooted the Tomb Raider franchise with the origin story of a young Lara Croft. Over the years from the beginning of the franchise, Lara had become an A-lister amongst gaming characters, but only now through experiencing this story of her first archaeological expedition does her character feels like it has a soul. Although it was surpassed by BioShock Infinite, The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V for many Game of the Year titles, Tomb Raider was nonetheless an exceptional game with a strong story and impeccable gameplay, originally receiving a 9/10 on Save Game. Breaking news: Call of Duty still hella popular

I know… shocking, right?  Activision Blizzard released their quarterly and yearly earnings report today, and 2013 was another very good year for Call of Duty.  The latest game in the series, Call of Duty: Ghosts, dominated the sales charts.  And last year’s Black Ops 2 continued to perform well.  Not exactly news, I know.  But there were a few interesting gems buried in the report.  Read on for the details.
