Larry Hryb, Director of Programming for XBOX Live, better known to XBOX users as Major Nelson, has released his annual list of the most played games on the service. To no one’s surprise, the overall winner was Call of Duty: Black Ops. The title has been a juggernaut since its release a little over a year ago. What is surprising, however, is that Call of Duty titles took all three of the top spots on the list.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 passes the $1 Billion in sales mark

You can almost hear the congratulatory hi-fives as Activision announces Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has hit the $1 billion dollars in sales mark in only 16 days. This eclipses the previous record held by Avatar, which reached the same milestone in 17 days.
