You’ll Do: Marriage in Skyrim

skyrimcol

One of the new and interesting features about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is that the character you create to prance around this magical land can now get married to the man, woman, elf, cat or lizard of their choice.  There are a few small perks to this feature such as having a spouse to cook you things and give you money.  Then there is the “lovers comfort” perk that comes from sleeping in the same bed with them.  I’m going to assume of course that what that means is “snuggling in sweatpants.”  But don’t get excited here, people.  This […]

The world of Skyrim is huge. And when I say huge, I mean HUGE. And unless you have a map handy (or the guidebook), trying to keep track of where everything is is an exercise in frustration. Looking to solve that problem is an ucoming app for the iPhone and iPad called Dragon Shout. The unofficial app, which will be hitting the app store soon, will feature a fully zoomable map of Skyrim which supports annotated markers, so users will be able to mark places of interest. skyrimcol

In the lead up to the release of Skyrim, Bethesda provided an offer to fans – anyone who had a child born on 11/11/2011 – Skyrim’s release date – and named it ‘Dovahkiin’ would end up nabbing themselves a lifetime supply of Bethesda titles. No doubt they never expected anyone actually taking them up on their offer, but die-hard fans being die-hard fans, someone has actually done exactly this.
