Greetings from E3! I’m battling my way through throngs of gaming press to bring you the stories you want to read.  Today, I sat down with John Mamais to find out how much romance we can expect in Witcher 3, among other topics. But come on, it’s the romance you really care about, right?

Save Game Sunday Kickday – Together: Amna & Saif

Kickday2

These days, it seems like every game has a multiplayer component.  But modern multiplayer is played almost exclusively online.  Even co-op gaming has become largely dependent on the internet.  Even as broadband allows us to play with friends all over the world, something very important has been lost.  That intangible connection between two people, sitting on a couch, playing on a single screen is quickly fading away.  Our choice for this week’s Kickday, Together: Amna & Saif, hopes to bring that experience back.

Save Game Sunday Kickday: Radix

Kickday2

One of my favorite gaming genres is the classic NES era platformer.  Many of my fondest gaming memories were formed in those colorful, pixelated worlds with the strangely floating ledges.  But as fun as those games were, their often strictly linear nature makes them a bit of a hard sell these days.  Radix, our Save Game Kickday pick for this week, aims to change that.  Read on to learn all about it.

TPAT Highlights – Fallout: New Vegas

TPAT-Fallout-New-Vegas

“It’s just so…brown.” For this TPAT Tash and Christine visit the monochromatic land of Fallout, New Vegas style. This Vegas is far from the flashing lights and glitz of the one we all know. There are no Cher performances, but there is a roller coaster. Sadly, Tash did not get to ride it, which is really only one of her complaints about this one, which unfortunately ended up on the not so “treasure” side of “T.” Video after the jump.

Save Game Sunday Kickday: Adventures of Pip

Kickday2

Video game graphics have come a long way since the days of Atari and Colecovision.  While most modern games are rendered in three dimensions, there is still something to be said for a beautifully made two dimensional side scroller.  Our choice for this week’s Kickday is not only a gorgeous example of what a retro styled game can be, it’s also a charming history lesson in the art of the medium itself.  Read on to learn more about Adventures of Pip.

Hands on with the Titanfall beta

titanfallbeta1

Let’s get one thing out of the way straight away – I’m not a fan of multiplayer FPS games, and I am not someone who gets excited about challenging, engaging, player vs player multiplayer maps. I have my feet very firmly planted in the ‘single player is king’ camp. With that said – I had a damn lot of fun with Titanfall, and based on the strength of what it offers to players, it just might be the killer console seller than Xbox One is looking for.
