Ubisoft announces Spartacus Legends


Let’s get ready to rummmmbllllleeeeeeee….Ubisoft has announced they will be bringing a new title into their stable of games – and that game will surprisingly be a fighter. Entitled Spartacus Legends, the game will take its inspiration from the Spartacus series by Starz Entertainment, and aims to portray all the primeval, hedonistic brutality of gladiatorial arena battles as seen in the show itself.

Here’s hoping Bioware wasn’t banking on the announcement of new DLC for Mass Effect 3 to be their showstopper at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con – because they’ve sadly been beaten to the punch by their own voice talent.

Next Rocksteady Batman game to be a prequel


Superhero games – they’re so in right now. Especially now that, thanks to Rocksteady, we’re getting high quality, awesome superhero-based video game titles. And speaking of Rocksteady – fans of their Batman games can rejoice, as it appears that not only is a new game in development, but that game will be a prequel based around DC comics’ Silver Age series of the 1950s.

Playstation Home implementing player designed housing


Good news for those budding architects amongst us – Sony has announced that their virtual social world Home will soon allow players to design their own living spaces. The soon-to-be-implemented design system called Blueprint: Home will enable players to step outside the generic apartment options currently provided and create their own beautiously magical (or oddly unusual) apartments.

European Union court ruling states gamers free to resell digital games


In terms of influential court rulings, the most recent ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union is a huge one. As reported by Eurogamer, this abovementioned court has ruled that games publishers have no legal right to prevent people reselling digital games once they have purchased them.
