New Beta for Battlefield Hardline

Battlefield Hardline’s new beta is set to drop in less than twenty-four hours across PC, Xbox and Playstation platforms. While rumours of the beta leaked on reddit early last week, attributed to YouTube presenters in EA’s Ronku program, it was only in the past few days that there was date confirmation on the Battlefield site, as well as details of exactly what’s in. Save Game had a sneak preview of the beta content at an event at the Sydney Justice and Police Museum, hosted by EA’s community team and Visceral Games. Battlefield 3: Wake Island Gameplay Trailer

Say what you want about EA – but they sure know how to market a game (whether they market that game well is another matter). Yet another trailer has been released for the Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand DLC, this time featuring some Wake Island gameplay footage. This map is touted as being the most anticipated of the remade maps on offer in the DLC, so it seems apt it receives its own trailer. Check it out below.

Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand DLC available December 6

The latest Battlefield 3 DLC – Back to Karkand – featuring four classic Battlefield maps which have been given the remake treatment using the Frostbite 2.0 engine – will be available to PS3 players on Tuesday, December 6th. Xbox 360 and PC players will need to wait until December 13th to acess the content, given the fact all DLC for Battlefield 3 is released a week early on PS3.

Battlefield 3 PS3 owners will receive Battlefield 1943 free

After a much-publicised outcry from PS3 owners over the promised free copy of Battlefield 1943 with purchases of Battlefield 3 that EA backpeddaled on post release, EA have now made good on their promise, offering a free voucher download of Battlefield 1943. Europe ps3 owners will receive the voucher this Saturday, November 26, North American owners will have to wait until December 10, and those in Asia even longer still on December 17. Aussie and New Zealand gamers should note we have been included in the European release of the content.

Was Battlefield 3 a success for EA? Seems like it was, with the company announcing that Battlefield 3 is the fastest selling game in EA history. Selling a very impressive 5 million units in its first week globally, it seems the game is as much a hit with gamers as it was with critics.
