The brainchild of No More Heroes creator Goichi ‘Suda 51’ Suda, the game is described as an “interactive kamishibai” which from what I gather is something akin to traditional puppet theatre. The first, called the Cauldron of Jordan will allow players to place junk items they don’t want into it, immediately turning them into gold. The second, the Nephalem Cube, works like the Cauldron of Jordan however this time the cube allows you to salvage crafting materials from your unwanted items. Read more »According to information from AppData, EA’s The Sims Social has more daily active users than Zynga’s FarmVille. Apparently Sims Social now has 9.3 million Daily Active Users (DAUs), moving into second place behind CityVille, which averages around 14 million DAUs. According to EA CFO Eric Brown, taking to Gamasutra, Sims Social players log an average 15 to 20 minutes in the game three times a day.

Read more »According to Polish site Gamikaze, Tomasz Gop, ex-producer on the Witcher series, is partnering with City Interactive for a new RPG. The game is apparently slated for launch in 2013 and will drop on both consoles and PC. The project is a collaboration between City Interactive, Gop and German studio Deck 13. Read more »Bethesda have comfirmed that players will indeed be able to get their vampire groove on in their upcoming release Skyrim. Speaking to G4TV at PAX Prime 2011, Todd Howard confirmed that vampirism was in the game, that it is a whole new mode, and that players can experience everything Skyrim has to offer whilst being afflicted (or perhaps gifted, depending on your preference) with the disease.
