Imperial City is the very first of the planned DLC releases for the game, and has now been released on PC. While it will be just over two weeks until console editions of the game get a dose of Cyrodilic love, players on PC can now grab Imperial City either through ESO Plus, or via the game’s Crown store.

It doesn’t necessarily turn a game into more than it might already be, but what it does is convey a sense of tranquility. In many ways the game felt like a known quantity; at worse it would feel the same niche that had previously been occupied by Morrowind and Everquest. Those two honed-in on a love of exploration, and brought about marathon gaming sessions that’d lead to bed as the morning birds were waking.
