Joe, Author at Save Game - Page 43 of 52

About the Author: (@Joe_of_the_Dead) Lead Editor, Writer

Joe was born in a time of war. A console war. Two electronic titans were locked in a heated battle for the living rooms of America. Which titans, you ask? Well, the Fairchild Channel F and the Atari 2600 of course. You see, Joe is old. So many of his favorite games tend to be on the older side as well. But that hasn’t stopped him from developing unhealthy obsessions with such modern franchises as Halo and Mass Effect. Just don’t tell him how long it’s been since the original Metroid was released. His aging heart can’t take the shock.

Dev Diaries for Aliens: Colonial Marines Hint at Game Actually Being Released

aliens-cm-2

I know this might be a little too good to be true, but it’s looking more and more likely that Aliens: Colonial Marines might actually be almost sorta in the realm of being kinda in a position to be, like, finished and released in the not too distant future.  How have I come to this absurd conclusion?  Dev diaries, my friends.  Dev diaries.  Read on to see for yourself.

Earlier today, EA held an event called the “Summer Showcase.”  I thought it might have had something to do with The Price is Right, but apparently I was wrong.  It was an oppurtunity for representatives from a number of EA studios to get up on stage and talk about the cool stuff they’re working on.  One such studio making a presentation today was Bioware Edmonton, and they finally pulled the curtain back on their first major expansion of the ME3 single player experience.  Read on for all the details.

Entire SDCC Mass Effect 3 Panel Now Online

me3-title-burny

As awesome as the San Diego Comic Con is, there is one huge drawback to the yearly event.  The vast majority of people who want to go to it can’t.  Whether it’s time, or money, or a lifetime ban from the state of California which is totally unfair because it was just a big misunderstanding and if the Governor would just listen to me for five minutes I could explain the whole thing….. Anyway, most folks miss out on the coolness.  Luckily, much of the coolness winds up online, which is the case for Bioware’s Mass Effect 3 panel.  Read […]

Hey, so let me ask you a question.  When’s the last time you heard any good news out of Sega?  Take your time, I’ll wait…….. Nothing, huh?  Don’t worry, it’s cool.  I couldn’t think of anything either.  Fact is, SEGA isn’t what it used to be.  For me, the downward slide began when they pulled the plug on Sega Channel.  But that’s a story for another time.  Today, SEGA hit us with some unexpectedly awesome news.  They’re releasing an HD remake of NiGHTS into dreams, and they’re releasing it soon.  Read on for the details.
