Joe, Author at Save Game - Page 44 of 52

About the Author: (@Joe_of_the_Dead) Lead Editor, Writer

Joe was born in a time of war. A console war. Two electronic titans were locked in a heated battle for the living rooms of America. Which titans, you ask? Well, the Fairchild Channel F and the Atari 2600 of course. You see, Joe is old. So many of his favorite games tend to be on the older side as well. But that hasn’t stopped him from developing unhealthy obsessions with such modern franchises as Halo and Mass Effect. Just don’t tell him how long it’s been since the original Metroid was released. His aging heart can’t take the shock.

Haven’t you ever wanted to get away from it all?  To just turn off the outside world and find some friggin peace and quiet?  Sure you have.  We all have.  Unless you’re some kind of freak who needs constant noise to feel safe, like that weird guy who lived below me once.  Damn, he was annoying.  Anyway, tangent, sorry.  Peace and quiet.  It can be hard to find, and it is the goal in this week’s Mobile Monday game, a quirky little indie gem called Quiet, Please!  Read on to learn more about it.

Hey, Check Out the Lollipop Chainsaw Launch Trailer!

lollipopchainsaw

Is it just me, or have zombie games gotten a little stale lately?  The brooding heroes, the unrelenting misery, and the rain… there always has to be rain.  But Lollipop Chainsaw is trying to save the zombie genre from, well, eating itself.  The game removes the doom and despair of most survival horror games, and replaces them with hearts, rainbows, and a skantily clad cheerleader.  To celebrate the game’s release, developer Grasshopper Manufacture has released a brand new launch trailer.  Read on to watch the glorious excess.

E3 2012 Trailerpalooza! Volume 3

e3-1

Yeah, so it’s day 3 here at Trailerpalooza.  Security is gone, the porta-potties are overflowing, and the vendors have run out of everything except Diet Sprite.  Things are pretty much falling apart.  I’d try to leave, but I overheard this one dude saying that the traffic in the parking lot is so bad, it took his buddy six hours just to make it back to the highway.  So I’m just gonna try to find some water, find some shade, and watch some more trailers.  Read on to watch ’em with me.

E3 2012 Trailerpalooza! Volume 2

e3-1

Welcome to day two of Trailerpalooza.  Much like the outdoor music festival from which I stole the name, day two was long, hot, and kinda smelly.  Everyone was still pumped for the show, but fatigue was starting to sink in.  And after a lukewarm set from Nintendo, the crowd almost rushed the stage.  But the important thing is, we still have plenty of trailers for you, including some extended gameplay demos.  So let’s get started!
